This Is an old English fusee we made a case for recently. 

The case was made entirely from scratch by Denis Carignan owner and head watchmaker of CWCI.

We can make many different styles of cases, this one is relatively simple but it was a fun and interesting project.

George Etherington London fusee

This is a very old pair cased, verge fusee made by George Etherington London.  The outer case is covered with green sharkskin (Shagreen) and is made of gold, the inner case is made of gilded bronze.  This watch was in very poor condition when we received it, most of it's steel parts such as the springs and screws were all but rusted off.  A few of the many repairs that movement needed and we performed were a new center wheel made, new bushings, two new pivots re-pivoted, we made a few springs and several screws replaced.  We then removed the scratches and dents from the inner case and plated it with 14k gold.  The dial was cleaned and we repainted the markers to make it beautiful again.  The outer case was sent to a gentleman in Australia to have the sharkskin (shagreen) on the bezel repaired.  The watch now looks and runs wonderful, it was keeping time to within 30 seconds or so a day, not bad for a watch over 300 years old!

Ladies Rolex President, 18ky

The picture on the left is before we serviced it and the one on the right is after we overhauled it and added a diamond dial and diamond bezel.

Gents Rolex Date-Just we recently overhauled.  We also replaced the bracelet.

Seth Thomas sub clock. We Cleaned, oiled, re-bushed, we also refinished the hands.

Ingraham Mantle clock.

We completely restored this clock after it was badly damaged in a fire.

Waterbury ships clock.

We Cleaned, oiled, re-bushed, and we also refinished the hands and re-pivoted the balance staff.

Tudor Oyster we restored.  The movement and dial were both destroyed from water. We replaced the movement, crystal, crown, case tube, and gaskets, refinished the dial and hands and restored the case and bracelet.

Tavannes Repeater

This is a Swiss made quarter repeater, the name on the dial is Tavannes.  The movement is a Le Phare Cal.OV

Rare old fusee ( chain driven ) Duchene Geneva watch restored by CWR, the case is 18k multi-colored gold and is set with mine cut diamonds all around the bezel and back.

Jasper Stone fusee, Charlestown Mass, USA.  Sterling silver hunting case and a very nice fully jeweled lever escapement fusee movement.

Joseph Johnson fusee, Liverpool.  18ky hunting case and a very nice fully jeweled Masey, lever escapement fusee movement.

18 size 21 jewel Illinois Bun special.  Nice watch.

Button hole watch

Old engraved watch (click for close up) This is one of the prettiest watches I have seen, the movement is engraved all over and the dial was multi colored.  It wasn't extremely valuable but surely a beautiful piece of workmanship.
